Mark di Suvero’s artworks are mainly made of large steel beams; however, he also uses other materials such as wood or rubber in some cases. Many of his sculptures contain elements that can rotate or swing; they are so stable that you could climb on them. Unless the steel beams are left untreated, the artist mainly paints his works of art fire red.
Di Suvero is proud on being hands-on with the creation and installation of his works, even though he has no technical training. He was the first sculptor ever to use a crane as a working tool.
