In his sculptures, Joannis Avramidis consistently defines the body as a pillar in which eyes, mouth and nose are not visible. The limbs also merge with the body to form a uniform shape. While initially Avramidis created only individual columns, later on the artist developed larger sculptures in which he closely combined individual column elements to form a fused block of figures, whereby his works of art always consist of an odd number of figures.
