Death Valley, located mostly in California, is one of the driest areas on earth. In 1913 a temperature of 56.7 degrees Celsius was recorded near Furnace Creek Ranch – the highest temperature ever measured on earth. An average of 28 rainy days a year isn’t much either. Badwater is the lowest point in the USA, 85.5 meters below sea level. Do not forget to bring your baseball cap, some bottles of water and a fairly good sunscreen before entering this bizarre valley…
